Nissan Frontier finally gets a new look, possibly with other upgrades as well.
Spy pictures leaked by FormaCar show the 2021 Nissan Frontier looking way better than the current model. For the last 16 years, the pickup truck did well in the market, but a complete overhaul is long overdue. Fortunately, we finally have a glimpse of the completely revamped version.
The spied images showcase there might be two versions of the Frontier. The first image portrays the vehicle in white color with a traditional look, with classic running boards, silvered roof racks, and a chrome grille.
The second one is in flat-gray and looks more like a PRO-4X model. More off-road-oriented with a blacked-out grille, roof lights, and a robust front brush guard, it seems like Nissan might be planning an off-road trim level as well.
The photographs also showcase the 2021 Nissan Frontier new LED headlights, fresh tonneau cover, smaller radiator grille, and updated bumpers.
Back in May 2020, Nissan had publicly revealed a video showing its complete future lineup. The video suggested that there could be a next-gen pick-up truck soon, most probably a version of Navara. If you follow Nissan closely, though, you’ll know that the Navara and Frontier are the same vehicles, with the former only sold in Europe, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
The leaked images suggest that the upcoming pick-up truck looks similar to the one Nissan teased in the video. Now we can be sure at 99% that it’s the Frontier.
Nissan was expected to launch the 2021 Frontier in September but postponed it due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, even though we could get our hands on some spy pics, Nissan hasn’t announced an official launch date yet. Nonetheless, based on the spy pics, it’s safe to assume that the Navara and Frontier should soon hit the market.
