Christmas came early this year!
It is indeed an exceptional day for all Lamborghini enthusiasts all over the world as the Italian supercar manufacturer unveiled its most ambitious and compelling project to date, the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12. This car is the closest you can ever get to an F1 car without being physically seated in one.
Once again, Lamborghini came up with a savage design and impressive power as its V12 engine, producing exactly 819 hp, is the most powerful engine that has ever been put inside a Lamborghini!
It’s not surprising then to learn that this hypercar is for track-use only as it is not designed to be driven on the streets. The X-trac sequential six-speed gearbox is used to transfer the extreme power produced by the engine to the rear wheels.
The hi-tech aerodynamic features of the brand new Essenza SCV12 are inspired by those of racing prototypes, creating even more downforce than even a GT3 car. The aerodynamics generates 2,756 pounds of downforce at 155 mph.
A new carbon fiber monocoque chassis has been used, which enables the power to weight ratio to be of 1.66 hp/kg. Furthermore, its construction does not require an internal roll cage. Still, it is the first GT car that has been manufactured according to the FIA prototype safety rules.
The starting price is yet to be announced but does expect a 7-figure price! Also not surprising since only 40 units of will be made, making it quite unique but definitely not as exclusive as the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ – Xago Edition, of which only 10 will be produced!
The lucky owners will also get to be a part of a special club, which will give them access to the most famous and prestigious automobile events all around the world. They will also be provided with a storage system in Sant’Agata Bolognese, where a new hangar is built just for Essenza SCV12! They will also have personalized garages and will be equipped with a webcam where they can monitor their vehicle 24/7.
Buying a Lamborghini is never just “buying a car”. It’s a whole experience!
This car was made for racing and will provide a unique and out-of-this-world experience for both the driver and the spectators. It’s a unique combination of sound engineering along with the Lamborghini grandeur.
The Italian manufacturer is continuously looking for new ways to make their future cars better and taking up new challenges while sticking to their roots. And once again, Lamborghini seems to have been able to create a vehicle true to their heritage while incorporating the latest in automotive development.
