A new survey has found Tesla’s Model 3 the most reliable executive sedan in the UK, electric or not, with a reliability rating of 99.4%.
According to data published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), 2,082 Model 3 were registered in the UK in August. The report also claimed that only 5 percent of the registered vehicles came in with minor defects. However, Tesla resolved the issues within a day or two at no cost from the owners. Most faults were minor technical problems, mainly in motors, gearboxes, engines, exhaust, and bodywork, which are quite prevalent in new cars.
Yet, the Model 3 still tops the list, surpassing every electric, diesel, petrol, or hybrid car. Even though pure electric vehicles account for only 1.1 percent of car sales in the UK, the Model 3 outsold popular cars like Vauxhall Corsa, Ford Focus, and Mercedes-Benz A-Class and came just behind the VW Golf and Ford Fiesta. Thanks to a new and innovative electric powertrain, the Model 3 boosted Tesla’s sales up to 378 percent as compared to last year.
Tesla offers the Model 3 in three variants, the Performance, Long Range AWD, and the Standard Plus. Unlike a typical family sedan, this model is insanely quick. With the option of dual electric motors and AWD, the Performance model can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds!
Tesla’s All-Wheel Drive system digitally controls the torque for the front and rear wheels for optimizing performance and giving better traction control. It also comes with an incredible range as the Long Range AWD variant can go 322 miles on a single charge. And, even better, with its 17,000 superchargers worldwide and six new ones being installed every week, you can charge your car at any Tesla public station.
Furthermore, safety is Tesla’s utmost priority, and it reflects in the latest model as well. Model 3 has a rigid aluminum and steel frame designed for maximum strength and impact resistance. It also comes with Tesla’s renowned Autonomous Driving System and advanced safety features that include Auto Lane Change. Autopark feature parks your car with a single touch.
Tesla also offers a massive 15” Center Touchscreen to keep everything within your reach. Besides, Model 3 also comes with 12-way power-adjustable heated front seats, tinted glass roof with ultraviolet and infrared protection, power-folding heated side mirrors, 4 USB ports, docking for 2 smartphones, and upgraded audio with immersive sound experience.
And even with all its features, the price of the Model 3 ranges just between $43,000 and $60,000.
No wonder why it’s selling that well these days…
